The research being carried out in the UCL Engineering department is changing the world we experience. From medical treatments through to housing and ventilation, their researchers are innovating and helping to make a difference in the world. We were approached by the department to create a series of research videos to help communicate their real world impact.

Partnering with Cinematic Pictures who beautifully shot and edited the films, and with strategic communication input from Studio Dhesi, we set about creating a bold visual approach for the films. The new look and feel adds a contemporary edge to the departments existing branding. Dynamic intersecting arrows and colour changes are used to create a play button within the negative space. These arrows act as a unifying graphic and are used across all communications. The result is an initial series of 10 stunning research videos that help UCL Engineering promote its work and how it enriches the lives of everyone.
